Michelle B. Block

Michelle Block is an Associate who practices in both medical malpractice defense and civil litigation. She focuses on representing physicians, hospitals and other healthcare professionals in a variety of medical defense matters. Michelle has lectured and published on the topics of medical malpractice and long-term care litigation.

Michelle is a 2008 graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School where she competed in Moot Court and Trial Advocacy. During her tenure at Cooley, she also worked in the legal malpractice group at ProAssurance.  Michelle was admitted to the Ohio Bar and the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio, in 2008.

Michelle graduated in 2004 from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science degree. She was a four-year athletic scholarship recipient in swimming and was named Academic All-Big 10. Michelle was awarded an additional scholarship after being appointed to the 2003-2004 Student Leader Board at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.

Michelle was most-recently recognized as a Rising Star in the 2012 edition of Ohio Super Lawyers, a distinction that recognizes the top five percent of Ohio lawyers under the age of forty or those in practice for ten years or less.

In her spare time, Michelle is a volunteer attorney on Cleveland's Adult Guardianship Services' Board.  In addition, she serves as a community-member attorney on University Hospitals' Ethics Committee.
