Beth Sebaugh has devoted more than three decades to an active litigation practice and has served as chief trial counsel in cases pending in state and federal courts, as well as before numerous governmental administrative agencies including the EEOC, OCRC, NLRB, OSHA, U.S.D.A., ODJFS, Ohio Department of Education and Ohio State Medical Board. She has been chief trial counsel in approximately 100 trials inclusive of employment law, medical malpractice, professional negligence, catastrophic personal injury, product liability and death cases. Ms. Sebaugh is involved in federal court multi-district litigation relative to toxic tort lawsuits. She has actively defended numerous contract-related lawsuits and has garnered a plethora of published opinions favorable to her clients involving contract law, private school law and various charitable organizations.
Over her career, Ms. Sebaugh has served as a lecturer in trial practice continuing education programs, as well as for various hospitals, physician groups, educators and non-profit organizations. She has served her profession in a multitude of pro-bono roles. These would include serving as a guardian ad-litem, a C.A.S.E. volunteer lawyer through the former Cleveland Bar Association/Legal Aid Society, a requested mediator with the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas relative to business litigation, a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association's Judicial Selection Committee, as well as a volunteer for the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association's 3 Rs Program in the Cleveland Public Schools, and a member and former chair of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association's Fee Dispute Committee.
Ms. Sebaugh enjoys an AV-rating with Martindale Hubbell. She was named an Ohio Super Lawyer in 2007 and a Super Lawyer in the Corporate Counsel Edition for 2008. Ms. Sebaugh is a life member to the Judicial Conference for the Eighth Judicial District.
Ms. Sebaugh enjoys downhill skiing, hiking, traveling, and engages in various conservation initiatives in her free time.
